“The biggest thing I’ve learned after nineteen years of marriage? It’s always better together,” says Gucci, flipping through her wedding album after celebrating a recent anniversary with her husband, David. The pair was married in the medieval French village of Cordes-sur-Ciel on a hot July day. Naturally, Gucci did her own makeup. Now, nearly two decades later, she sets out to recreate the sun-kissed look that made her feel the most beautiful.
“I’m always asked, ‘What’s the perfect wedding day makeup?’” Gucci reflects. “For me, it was about enhancing my features and looking extra tan,” she laughs, shaking up a bottle of Sun Tone Bronzing Drops for an ultra-authentic bronze skin effect. For a touch of “blushing bride” rosiness with extra staying power, she layers Baby Cheeks + Face Trace Sculpting Powder Duo in Tulle/Truffle on top.

One tip that stands the test of time? Skip the highlighter. “You don’t want extra shine in photos, especially on a hot summer day,” she says. Instead, she recommends Vital Pressed Skincare Powder to set the complexion without taking away your natural radiance.
For eyes, Gucci reaches for Eye Pods in Toujours—a present day palette of neutrals (including her favorite Café Crème) for subtle, everyday definition. After tracing a touch of Eye Love You Pencil in Khôl Brun along the lashlines, she uses the tip to create a few faux freckles along the bridge of her nose. Asked if she’d do anything differently, she reaches for a lip liner to frame her tawny nude lipstick “and help it last longer.” Up to the task? Her favorite fleshy-rose lip pencil, Je Rêve—which, fittingly, is French for “I dream.”
