Q: Is Baby Cheeks powder blush or cream blush right for me and how do I wear it?
Blush is an instant pick-me-up, infusing skin with that fresh, oxygenated brightness. But now that Baby Cheeks Powder Blush Duos have entered the chat, how do you settle on the right formula? The simple rule of thumb: Choose a cream formula if you want a multitasker or your skin tends to be on the drier side. Go for a powder formula to benefit from more longevity and application control. Today, Gucci walks us through her pro approach to choosing and top application tricks!
POWDER BLUSH
“I designed our new Powder Duos palettes to make it really easy to bring dimension to cheeks. The formula is soft matte finish, so if you're looking to extend the wear of your makeup while eliminating excess shine, the powder blush is your best choice."
"I use the Powder II Brush to refine my application, starting light and layering slowly. First I'll use the deeper or warmer shade for dimension, then add a pop of color with the brighter shade. When using a tawny shade like Sable, I can even stretch it up a bit higher to the eyes, and closer to the nose, just to warm up the general area.
With the Baby Cheeks + Face Trace Sculpting Duos, contour comes first. Using the same brush, I find my cheekbone and follow it upwards to give myself some definition. Then I blend blush above that line, carefully connecting the Face Trace and Baby Cheeks Blush shades for a nice sculpted flush of color.”
CREAM BLUSH
“I learned to do makeup with cream sticks, so using original Baby Cheeks feels super intuitive to me! A cream blush is perfect for beginners and if you have dry skin, our formula is packed with hydrating ingredients that nourish the skin with each swipe.
To apply, I'll tap my finger onto the bullet and add the color directly to my cheeks. Blend in a horizontal oval shape along the apples for an authentic flush. If you accidentally add too much or have additional spots that need coverage, dot on concealer afterward for a quick fix.
Now, if you prefer using a brush, our Baby Blender works beautifully—it’s made for creams and can target the high points of the cheeks. A cream blush is perfect for beginners and if you have dry skin, our formula is packed with hydrating ingredients like jojoba seed oil and antioxidants that nourish, too.”
